When and where are RPU’s meetings held?
We meet on Mondays from 7:30pm-8:30pm in the RPU Lounge (UUW-302). We’re located just two floors above the MarketPlace, and our room will be on your left as you exit the elevator.
Occasionally we’ll meet at a different time and/or location. If that’s the case, it’ll be noted here.
How can I be added to the listserv?
You can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or reach out to an e-board member at any of our meetings or events.
I can’t make the weekly meetings. How else can I get involved in RPU/the LGBTQ+ community on campus?
We host various events throughout the semester that aren’t during our usual meeting time. You can find a list of them here.
There are also two other GSD student organizations on campus that you can attend:
SHADES is for students who are a part of the LGBTQIAP community of color, and Keshet is Binghamton’s Jewish LGBTQ group.
There is also the Q-Center on campus! We collaborate with them frequently and they offer support and activities for students who are members of the LGBT+ community!
How do I join the e-board?
We hold elections towards the end of each semester. In order to be elected, you’ll have to submit a letter of intent letting us know what position you want to run for. You’ll also need to come to our election meeting prepared to tell us a little bit about why you should be chosen for the e-board.
